These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Block Crawler, LLC ("we", "us") about your use of Block Crawler (the "App") and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

1. What the Service is.

Block Crawler is a game. It records, on your phone, the streets you walk, awards points, and lets you hold game tokens ("deeds") for real blocks, businesses and landmarks. It is not a people-search service, a background-check service or a consumer reporting agency, and it doesn't provide "consumer reports" under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You may not use anything you learn through it for decisions about credit, insurance, employment or housing.

2. Eligibility.

You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you're under the age of majority where you live, use the Service only with a parent's or guardian's permission.

3. Accounts.

You sign in with Apple or Google and are responsible for activity under your account. A display name must not be your real name or anyone else's, must not impersonate anyone, and must not contain contact details or offensive words; we may change or remove one that does. You can delete your account in the App; the Privacy Policy says what happens to your data.

4. Points are a game currency, not money.

Points, levels, titles, achievements, looks and power-ups have no cash value, are never redeemed for anything real, never traded for money, never cashed out, and can't be sold or transferred outside the game. We may change what earns or costs points, limit how many you earn in a period, and reverse points — for example when content that earned them is removed or an account is suspended. If your account ends, your points end with it. If the game ends, points and deeds end with it and have no value to pay out.

5. Buying things.

Crawler Plus is an optional subscription bought through Apple, monthly or yearly (the yearly plan may start with a 7-day free trial that converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends). It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period; manage or cancel it in your App Store settings. It doubles the points you can spend, never your level. You can also buy points packs, deed vouchers, look packs and, once per account, a Founder's Pack; everything except Crawler Plus counts toward a $50-per-month limit per account. Bought points are spent before earned points and don't count toward a level. Prices are shown in the App before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple; a refunded purchase is taken back, but never past what's left.

6. Deeds.

A deed is a game token for a block, a place or a commercial building. A deed is not a property interest: it gives no right in any real property, business or place, and no relationship with its owner. Homes are never deeds. A deed can be bought only for a place you've visited, and can be withdrawn — with the points you paid refunded — if what it represents is removed, hidden at someone's request, or opted out by its business. A voucher claims one unheld deed in its price band; it isn't points, can't be traded or given, and can never claim a home.

7. Trading.

You can sell a deed for points at a fixed price, auction it for 24 hours (48 at most), or make another crawler a direct offer in points or a swap. The highest bid at close wins; a bid holds its points until you're outbid or the auction ends. Ten percent of any points that change hands leaves the game. Deeds and points may only be traded inside the game; offering or buying them for money or anything else outside the game breaks these Terms. You can give another crawler a power-up or a look you own, or challenge them to a duel with an optional equal points stake. Points themselves can't be given. Gifts and settled offers, auctions and duels can't be undone. Nothing in the game is decided by chance: no loot boxes, no draws, no random rewards.

8. Conquest.

Covering an area earns rank and titles on its honour board. Boards show public profiles only. We may adjust coverage rules, thresholds and titles, and may remove standings earned by cheating, spoofed location or driving.

9. Exploring safely.

Explore on foot where it's safe and legal. Never use the App while driving; driving counts come from a phone in the car, and a passenger counts the same. Don't trespass, enter private property, or go anywhere the App's map suggests is walkable if it isn't. You are responsible for your own safety, and the App is not a navigation product.

10. Home Base (being tested).

If you claim a home, you confirm you live there and that the document you provide is yours and unaltered. A false claim ends your account. A verified resident may evict a squatter from their home; the squatter receives a settlement in points as the App describes at the time.

11. Reviews, Lore and photos ("Contributions").

Contributions must be about a place or commercial building: its history, what it's like, what's there. You may not post anything that names, identifies or describes a person who lives at or works at a place, including their appearance, vehicles, schedule or routines; that could be used to locate, track, monitor, harass, threaten or intimidate anyone; that includes contact details or other personal information about anyone; that is harassing, hateful, discriminatory or sexually explicit; that is false; that infringes anyone's rights, including photos of people or photos you don't have the right to share; that is spam, advertising or solicitation; or that breaks any law. Contributions pass automated filters and may be held for human review. We may decline, remove or restrict any Contribution and suspend or close accounts at our discretion. You can report any Contribution or crawler, and block or mute anyone, in the App.

12. Prohibited uses.

You may not use the Service to find, identify, contact, locate, stalk or harass any person; scrape, bulk-download or systematically extract data from it; spoof, simulate or falsify your location or movement; use anything learned through it for any FCRA-covered decision, for harassment, or to solicit or market to owners or residents; access non-public parts of the Service or other accounts; interfere with or overload the Service; or break the law.

13. Your content and licence to us.

You keep ownership of your Contributions and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, modify (for example, to strip location metadata from photos) and distribute them to operate the Service. The licence ends when the Contribution is deleted, except for copies kept as the Privacy Policy describes.

14. Removal and opt-out.

A resident whose home appears as a Squat, a business owner, or anyone whose name appears in a listing can ask for correction or removal on our Support page, without an account. A person reviews every request and aims to decide within 10 business days. A granted removal hides the item in the Service only; it doesn't change any public record.

15. We don't sell personal data.

We do not sell or license personal data to anyone.

16. Intellectual property.

The Service, its software, design, logo and names belong to us or our licensors. Street and place data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License; data from TomTom; via Overture Maps; basemap tiles from OpenFreeMap. 17. Disclaimers.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. Map data may be wrong, streets may not be walkable, and coverage, scores and ranks are game mechanics, not facts about any place or person.

18. Limitation of liability.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, POINTS, DEEDS OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

19. Indemnity.

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your Contributions, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the Service.

20. Changes and termination.

We may change these Terms; if a change is material, we'll give notice in the App before it takes effect. We may suspend or end the Service, or your access to it, at any time.

21. Governing law and disputes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court instead.

22. Apple.

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the Service or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and isn't responsible for claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

23. Contact.
